About This Site and Me

Uri Yoeli (born 1970) is a writer and high school teacher living with his partner, daughter, dog, and cat in Tel Aviv–Jaffa. His work combines historical research, personal writing, and occasional fiction, with a focus on memory, family history, and everyday cultural life. He strongly opposes Israeli government policies and war crimes.

His website brings together more than two decades of writing, including essays, ongoing research projects, and independently published books. Among them is a long-term project tracing his family’s past and its connection to broader European and Jewish history.

Alongside his writing, Yoeli and his partner run a small independent press from their home (Home Press), producing and distributing short books. His work moves between documentation and storytelling, often blending archival materials with a personal voice.
